Current macOS Release
Version 1.3.843
Released 2026-09-27
Added
- English and German PDF manuals ship with the app and open directly from Help, including offline.
- A product introduction, linked contents, chapter bookmarks, and printable A4 layout make the manuals useful before purchase and at the workbench.
Changed
- In-app help and PDF manuals now use the same chapter sources, with readable tables and improved German text.
- Manual covers show Dr. Lauer IT and the CANcorder logo. Manuals are generated for each package build.
Distribution
- Signed and notarized Universal macOS release for Intel and Apple Silicon. The public Windows installer remains at 1.2.293.
1.3.x Release
Version 1.3.841
Released 2026-09-27
Added
- Export Messages or Transport logs as searchable PDF reports, with current filters or all records, embedded fonts, complete payloads, continuation pages, and English or German report labels.
- PDF reports include per-ECU response times, jitter, and P95, with documented timing exclusions and a stable snapshot while capture continues.
- Reload externally edited log files while preserving filters.
- Native macOS K-Line capture through OpenPort 2.0, readable text-log export, and ASCII payload search.
Fixed
- Long PDF payloads use the remaining page space; KWP TransferData replies contribute correctly to response-time statistics.
- Kept native USB adapter discovery compatible with macOS 11.
- Fixed the PDF product link and completed German response-time labels.
- Fixed stale macOS drag-and-drop paths and reconnecting CAN adapter linking.
- Suppressed native CAN adapter self-echoes and hid CAN FD settings for classic-only adapters.
- Update checks now support separate platform versions and Universal macOS downloads.
- Fixed HSFZ and DoIP capture import silently dropping diagnostic messages that span multiple TCP segments, so large multi-frame requests such as flash TransferData now appear instead of going missing.
- Fixed faint leftover "ghost" text appearing behind rows in the Transport and Frame tables while scrolling.
- Fixed number formatting so byte sizes and counters follow the selected interface language (for example, German now shows 1.441.280 instead of 1,441,280).
- Fixed SAE TP2.0 reassembly fabricating a spurious message when a data frame was lost or arrived out of order.
- Fixed long J1939 BAM transfers being discarded mid-transfer when packets were paced slower than the reassembly timeout allowed.
- Fixed valid single-byte-header K-Line frames being dropped instead of decoded.
- Fixed CAN FD frames being discarded when importing candump logs: lines using the ## flags notation were counted as unreadable instead of decoded, so traces written by ECUmulator++ lost exactly the frames they marked as FD.
Distribution
- This release is for macOS, with a signed and notarized Universal app for Intel and Apple Silicon. The public Windows installer remains at 1.2.293.
- Download this macOS release from the product page. Older clients use a shared update version, which stays at 1.2.293 until Windows catches up; this prevents false Windows update prompts.
1.2.x Release
Version 1.2.471
