App Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
No Data Collection
Our applications do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or user data. We respect your privacy and have designed our apps to function without requiring any personal data from you.
Some apps need limited, clearly-scoped access to function — for example, weather apps require your location to show local weather. Where that applies, it is described in the dedicated section below. None of it is used to identify or track you.
What This Means
- No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information
- No Usage Data: We do not track how you use our apps
- No Analytics: We do not use any analytics services or tracking tools
- No Third-Party Services: Our apps do not integrate with any third-party services that might collect your data (weather apps query weather providers to retrieve forecasts — see Weather Apps below)
- No Advertising: We do not display ads or use advertising networks
- No Location Data: We do not access or store your location information (weather apps use your location locally to fetch weather — see Weather Apps below)
- No Device Information: We do not collect device identifiers or hardware information
Data Storage
All app data and preferences are stored locally on your device only. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not accessible to us or any third parties
- Can be deleted by removing the app from your device
Weather Apps (e.g. Sun-Dog)
Weather apps need to know where to show the weather, so they require a small amount of location handling. This is the only exception to the general statements above, and it works as follows:
- Location access: With your permission, the app accesses your device location (“while using the app”) solely to determine the place for which weather is shown. You can also choose places manually instead.
- Weather providers: To retrieve forecasts and official severe-weather warnings, the app sends the relevant coordinates (your current location or a place you picked) to third-party weather services — Open-Meteo for forecasts and the Deutscher Wetterdienst (via the open Bright Sky API) for warnings. Apple’s geocoding is used to turn coordinates into a place name.
- Purpose-bound: These coordinates are transmitted only to fulfil your weather request. They are not tied to your identity, not used for advertising or tracking, and not retained by us — we operate no servers and keep no logs.
- Stored locally only: Your selected places (favourites) and the last known location are stored on your device only and never leave it, except as the coordinates needed for the weather request described above.
Please refer to the weather providers’ own privacy information for how they handle requests.
Changes to This Policy
While we do not anticipate any changes to our no-data-collection approach, any updates to this privacy policy will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
